How to get to the castle

There are 4 ways to get to Hluboka chateau from Prague:

  • With a guided tour. The tour is offered by almost every operator in Prague. The cost varies from 35 to 100 euros per person. The price includes round-trip transportation, a group tour with a guide, a snack.
  • By car. If you want to visit Hluboka castle on your own, you can rent a car. The road will take no more than two hours (148 kilometers), you need to go from Prague along the highway 3 / E55 to the Zámostí-Blata municipality, then follow the signs.
  • By bus. There is only one direct flight from Prague. Get on the Roztyly bus station ( on the map ) on the bus with the inscription Hluboká nad Vltavou. Go to the Pod kostelem stop, then transfer to bus 4 to go one stop (to Sportovní areál) or walk up to the castle itself (follow the signs).
  • By train. You will have to travel with transfers. First, from the railway station to the České Budějovice station, then by another train to the Zamosti station, and then 1 stop on the 4th bus (as in the previous option).
