Things to Do and Buy at the Market
The visiting card of the Bang Nam Pheung floating market can be called the gac fruit or Cochin momordica. This fruit is typical for Vietnam, in Bangkok itself, it is not so popular.

Thais are very fond of small but nice things, so you’ll find a large number of miniature snacks with very beautiful presentation. In Bang Nam Phueng market, as generally in Bangkok, pork is very popular. Of course, if you are hoping to see a large number of boats selling food, then you’d better go to Damnoen Saduak or Amphawa floating market.
There are literally a couple of vendors here doing noodles and BBQ. But it seems that boats are mostly used as counters.
