What To Expect From Upper Duden Waterfalls

We spent and hour and a half at this place, but if you are not in the hurry, you can definitely explore Upper Duden Waterfalls for longer.

Ancient Olive Processing Area

One of the first things you will encounter is a small pond with ducks, enjoying a refreshing stream. After that, you will have to cross several bridges to get to the ancient olive processing area. Right here you can enjoy panoramic views of waterfalls and the whole oasis.

Explore Cave Formation

Get ready to go down and explore cave formations under the stream. Be careful here as the stairs are very steep and narrow. Take your time to explore caves and take plenty of photos here. Make sure to wear non-slip shoes and do not rush here, since the floor is constantly wet because of the water dropping from the cave ceiling.

Once you reach the lower level of the caves you can take some picturesque photos here and just enjoy the calming sounds of falling water.

Do Not Disturb Bats

Yes! There are bats there – and pretty large. We didn’t enter the cave where they had their daytime nap, but some of the bats were visible from the outside. And they’re quite noisy too.

You can also enjoy a peaceful picnic here, as there are plenty of tables and benches to sit, relax, and have quick snacks.
