Koh Samui Diving Season
Diving in Samui is possible almost year-round, but conditions for underwater exploration can vary depending on the season. The best time to dive is from January to April. During this period, the sea is calm, ensuring excellent visibility underwater.
Whale sharks arrive at the shores of Samui between April and May, when there is enough plankton. The best underwater visibility, reaching 30-35 meters, is guaranteed from July to September.
During the monsoon season, which starts in September and lasts until the end of December, heavy rainfall and murky water may lead to the cancellation of diving tours due to weather conditions. Alternatively, visibility during dives will not exceed 10-15 meters. These conditions are suitable only for experienced divers.

It takes about an hour and a half by speedboat to reach the island, located to the north of Samui. Around Koh Tao, there are over 15 dive locations available for divers of all skill levels. Chumphon Pinnacle
This is one of the best dive sites near Samui, located just a 7-minute speedboat ride north of Koh Tao. To reach this spot from Samui, it takes about an hour by boat. Due to the depth and underwater currents, only experienced divers with an Advanced Open Water certification or higher can dive here.
The site consists of four underwater pinnacles connected to each other, with the tops reaching a depth of 14 meters and descending to depths of up to 36 meters.
Chumphon Pinnacle is famous for its diverse marine life. Shark Island
